Born and raised under the Flatirons, he's a passionate musician, avid hiker, and learner and teacher of all kinds.

For Evan, thinking of music is like thinking of colors. Chords aren't just harmonies; they’re reds and blues. The melodies take on yellows and greens and spill like smoke against the other colors. This coloring penetrates everything in his life and gives him a passion for music and a deep connection to all its forms. Blending the hues, their analytical and creative nature, leads him to become more focused and dedicated, using his problem-solving skills to create more beautiful sounds. Be it playing or teaching, he’s always looking for new opportunities, and is curious to learn what lies ahead.

Outside of music, the colors of the world have always been intriguing. Just as he enjoys the harmonies and colors embedded in music, he loves those found in nature. He’s passionate about hiking, fishing, and camping, a passion likely best combined during his years of performing in the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps (2017-2018). His time there spearheads his development into a more passionate and thoughtful person, qualities he uses in every aspect of his life. He is currently a student at the University of Colorado Boulder pursuing a Degree in Music Education and Tuba Performance. Successes here have pushed Evan to greater achievements, such as spending the summer of 2019 attending the Eastern Music Festival Euphonium Tuba Institute and the Rafael Mendez Brass Institute. Pedagogical development here has helped Evan grow as a performer and educator. He is currently a part of the CU Symphonic Band, The Colorado Brass, and is teaching at Centaurus High School as well as many lesson students in the local area.
